Who are you?
Well, I'm pretty much just a dude born with an instinctual love for music. Being on stage is definitely my preferred work place. There's something magical about projecting through a room full of people whether it be playing an instrument, singing or just talking straight silliness.
What do you do?
I spend as much time as possible doing things that make me happy. Some things I enjoy are:
- meeting new people
- having educated and/or filthy conversations
- recording / mixing / critically listening to music
- getting late night creative (poems / melodies / photoshop)
- running / working out
- studying harmony / training my ear
- reading inspirational books
- studying the careers and perspectives of successful people
- playing music
- constantly building a musical library
What instruments do you play?
The life of a musician is gifted with constant struggles of seeking musical satisfaction.
I've studied and played music since I was 6. I've dabbled with trumpet, baritone, trombone, & tuba through public school. The moment I picked up the bass guitar was the moment I felt the most musical expression and haven't looked back. Bass, Guitar, Piano and Drums are the ultimate winners in my realm of musical enlightenment.
Have you played any notable shows?
As the guitarist and frontman in the vibrant NJ Cover Scene, The past 5 years have been blessed with the unique opportunity to perform and cheerlead on a microphone for thousands of people at a time! Shit was crazy! One day, we played for 15,000 people at The Prudential Center for the NJ DEVILS playoff game. Aside from every corner bar in the tri-state area, the bigger venues included Metlife Stadium for the NY JETS, the grand opening & NYE at JIMMY BUFFETT'S MARGARITAVILLE in ATLANTIC CITY.
The most amazing aspect of the life of a performer is that, every day (or night), there is always a room somewhere full of people eager to hear music. Whether there are 10 people or 10,000, I think a chance to share the gift with someone is always worth it.
I had a very random opportunity at NIAGARA FALLS to step up perform on the mic overlooking the most powerful backdrop in the world. The majority of the crowd might not have spoken English, but when they started clapping their hands to the beat, I knew - music speaks! How could I say no?? When handed a guitar - PLAY IT, I WILL!
What are your goals?
My goal is to become friends (I mean actual friends) with as many people as humanly possible. There's nothing better than two people that generally care about each other.
Another goal is on-going; it's to continue writing and growing every single day of my life.
